Dead Day
Wahoooo it's Dead Day as my blog buddy Mel has so lovingly tagged Sunday. :)
For those of you that care this is the second to last episode before the Dead takes a midseason break. I mean come on. Is it really necessary that they take time off. Pfft they should work 356 24/7 just to make us happy. LOL... Okay I am just kidding.
Anyhow be sure to tune in tonight to see what has happened to Carol and if Daryl will be able to save both she and Beth!? I'm on pins and needles here!!!
In other news.
This week I will be doing a cover reveal/revamp for The Chosen Chronicles. I couldn't get the original files for the previous covers so I was forced to make new ones. I didn't really have a choice in the matter! I'm pretty proud of them though! They are different, but are pretty close together, flowing with the series.
I will be putting them back on the market on Cyber Monday and you don't want to miss out!!! They are going to be a special price for that day only!!
Okay lovelies... I've got work to do!
Peace out!

No Secret
Okay,
It's no secret that I am a huge TWD fan. What is TWD?! Are you kidding me? Have you been living under a rock? LOL okay. The Walking Dead is only one of the hottest shows on television right now. It's rankings surpassed the Oscars last year. That's right, more people tuned in to watch TWD than they did the Oscars!
While I love all the actors that portray the beloved band of misfits on the show, there is one actor that I have absolutely come to adore. Of course his rugged bad ass looks has nothing to do with it *pffft okay so maybe it does.....BUT only a smidge*** Who is this actor that we are referring too?!
Well that would be the amazing Norman Reedus. I'm a country girl and proud of it, so the rugged charm and underdog demeanor of his character Daryl Dixon grabs my attention more than the other characters.
While he portrays a scruffy redneck with a gravely growling voice, he has stated in more than one interview that he is not that at all. In fact in one article he stated. . . ."I would go to the Trump Hotel, lock myself in the penthouse, and watch South Park." Read the rest of his comment here. . . NYC Zombie Apocalypse
Reedus is no stranger to films. While he's been acting for quite a long time, his most noted role is that of Murphy MacManus in Boondock Saints and Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day.
A lot of the stuff I am telling you is stuff that can be found anywhere on the net.
He is a real actor and while I don't know him personally and as much as I hate to admit it, I will likely never EVER meet him, I will say that he seems humble with the way his career has taken off!
He is a talented photographer, but don't think you're going to see autumn leaves or beautiful sunsets. Norman's style of photography is vastly different and bizarrely beautiful in a way that only he can express.
Check out The Suns Coming Up. . .Like a Big Bald Head
One of his most recent projects however is a book he has put together of fan art that he has collected. The title Thanks For All the Niceness
has special meaning. A portion of the proceeds go to The Bachmann Strauss Dystonia and Parkinson Foundation. This is a good cause guys. Check it out okay by clicking on the title and going straight to his website to purchase it.
While I like all of his movies so far (the ones I have seen), I would have to say my favorite on he's done is Hello Herman
This movie is powerful and touches on an aspect of bullying and shows a road that can be taken by someone that is bullied.
My 4 year old son was diagnosed with ASD this year, for those who don't know what that is, to put it simply, it is Autism Spectrum Disorder. I am a strong advocate for anti-bullying. To see what kids go through and the thought that my child might have to deal with these issues as he gets older, terrifies me. Dealing with his ASD is a daily struggle. His case isn't as bad as some but worse than others! Too see how far bullying can get out of control really opened my eyes. We have to teach our children how to be strong and stick up for the kid that is being bullied. I'm not that far out of school that I don't remember what it was like to be made fun of. Believe me, I was. I'm not a size 6 gal. I dealt with a lot of mean, cruel kids making fun of be because I was larger than some of the other girls. It affected me, and to this day it still does. I have to get up every morning and tell myself that I'm not that girl. I have a husband and family that loves me! After that I can hold my head up high. We need to be positive roll models for kids!
**Okay, that was a bit of a tangent but anyhow**
I'm an author, I love writing and telling stories, and if I never make it big, that's okay. But famous people, be they actors, musicians, artists, authors or whatever, they are still human. I admire Norman because he doesn't act like the world owes him everything. He is humble and while he IS an actor, I have a knack for reading between the lines and watching body language, I do believe he is sincere.
So he has shot up there on my BUCKET LIST of actors I want to meet and I have to say, he is right there at number one with Johnny Depp and WE ALLLLLL KNOW how much I love Johnny!!!!
So, well done Mr. Reedus. If you every happen to stumble upon this blog admongst the millions of other blogs and you take time to read it!!!! Know that you are respected not because you are famous or because you are on the most popular show on television, but because you still remember who you are and give people someone to look up too!
Okay lovelies I am out for the night, I tend to ramble on when I am tired but be sure to check out the links above. Remember to stay tuned for a special sneak peek of my newest novel... UnderCity.
